Adoption Social Workers: “The Time is Right for Social Work”

March is the month to celebrate Social Workers. Adoption Choices of Arizona stands proud to support our adoption social workers by joining efforts across the globe. During Social Work Month, take time to learn more about the many positive contributions of the profession and especially what adoption social workers do.

The Social Work Profession is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of others and meeting the basic needs of all people, especially the most vulnerable in our society. They work in fields including the government, schools, universities, social service agencies, communities, the military, and health care and mental health organizations. Social Workers engage and bring together individuals, communities, agencies, and government to help society solve some of the most pressing issues of the day, including immigration reform, equal rights for all, affordable and good health care, and mental health care for all; and even protecting the environment.

Adoption Social Workers

Adoption social workers, also called adoption specialists (or caseworkers), are the heart of the adoption process. They facilitate the logistical requirements of the adoption process and provide emotional support and counseling. Our adoption social workers are licensed and certified. They give their all so that prospective birth mothers, families, and children can experience the life-changing adoption process in a safe, ethical, and legal way.

Adoption Choices of Arizona Social Workers

Our adoption agencies in Arizona assign each prospective birth parent and adoptive family to their adoption specialist. This professional becomes your primary point of contact throughout the adoption process. Our adoption social workers are responsible for supporting both the birth family and adoptive family during the adoption process. They may perform or assist with unplanned pregnancy help, home studies, parent background checks, parent counseling, the adoption and birth plan, and the post-placement process.

To meet with an adoption specialist or for adoption resources, or to begin your adoption journey, birth parents can visit us at Adoption Choices of Arizona or call or text us at 1-480-900-5520. If you are a prospective adoptive family hoping to adopt a baby, please instead, visit us here! Please click here for adoption in Phoenix.
