Adoption Choices of Arizona is a LOCAL, private adoption agency licensed by the State of Arizona. We assist children, birth parents, and adoptive parents through the adoption journey. As such, we are leaders in the adoption community with a genuine commitment to a sensitive, comprehensive, and supportive experience for all involved in the adoption process.

Established in 2011, our staff has years of experience in the field while allowing the agency to be fresh, new, and solution focused. With our experience, we recognize that each pregnancy is unique and we custom tailor our services to meet your needs.

We specialize in providing a safe haven for homeless expectant parents. Adoption Choices is here to offer a stable, nurturing, and supportive environment throughout your pregnancy to ensure the safe arrival of a healthy baby. We strive to make a positive difference in your life. It is our goal to provide life training and resources to homeless expectant mothers. To assist you with the adoption process, we provide a variety of services to meet your specific needs.

Anita Patten
Anita Patten

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Anita has over 30 years of experience in foster care, adoption, reunification services, and independent living. After retiring as Co-founder and Director of CHOICES, Inc., a foster care and independent living agency in Dayton, Ohio, Anita spent several years traveling. Settling in Arizona, she left retirement and became the Executive Director for Adoption Choices of Arizona. “Working in the field of Adoption is an amazing experience. I’ve experienced the successes and the failures alongside the mothers, joining them in a journey that no one can truly understand until it happens. My goal is to facilitate a positive experience, assist with the decision making, soothe the anxieties and celebrate the miracle of birth and Adoption.” Anita is an avid bicyclist, triathlete, backpacker, and world traveler.

SOCIAL SERVICES DIRECTOR

Liz has worked in the foster care and adoption field since 2000 and joined Adoption Choices in 2013. Her enthusiasm for working with and helping families grow is evident as she discusses adoption and helps families navigate through their own adoption journey.  Understanding that the adoption process can be overwhelming, her first priority is to inform and provide as much information as she can, so an adoptive parent can make the best decision for their future. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, cooking, baking, watching movies, and doing yoga.

Muriel Gonzalez

SOCIAL SERVICES DIRECTOR

Muriel Gonzalez, BS, BA, CPM, is a double major graduate of Arizona State University. Muriel has over 15 years of social work experience including foster care, adoption, independent living services, reunification services, and transitional young adult program. As a Birth Parent Social Worker, she is a dedicated advocate for the birth parents. Muriel is an outgoing and active participant in everything she does.

Rochelle Rodriguez
Rochelle Rodriguez

ADOPTION SOCIAL WORKER

Rochelle Rodriguez, LMSW. Rochelle is a bi-lingual Social Worker who obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Arizona State University. She has been working in the social services field for over 10 years. Rochelle began her career working in Family and Children Services before transitioning into Medical Social Work. Rochelle is a Certified Medical Social Worker enabling her to support, advocate, and educate her clients medically, socially, and emotionally.

Aubrey Luma

ADOPTION SOCIAL WORKER

Aubrey Luma, BS, has over 10 years experience in the social work field. She began her career working in transitional living units for single moms and teens as well as individuals struggling with addiction before transitioning to Family & Children’s Services. She is dedicated to assisting birth moms through the adoption process and supporting their journey.  She enjoys anything to do with her family, baking, and reading.

Tasia Grzecka

ADOPTIVE PARENT SERVICES SPECIALIST

Tasia has worked with foster and adoptive families for over ten years. She joined Adoption Choices in 2017. She understands that each families’ journey toward adoption is unique and her goal is to meet each family where they are at in the process and help guide them through as smoothly as possible. In her free time, she enjoys spending long summer weekends in their travel trailer in Heber, AZ with her husband and three children.

 

Stephanie Brown

ADOPTION SOCIAL WORKER

Stephanie Brown joined Adoption Choices of Arizona in 2018. She received her B.S. in Sociology and double minored in Psychology and Organizational Communication in 2010 from the Brigham Young University-Idaho. Afterwards, she worked with children, adolescents, and adults with behavioral and emotional disorders as a Psycho-Social Rehabilitator; providing individualized treatment plans and skill development training. After moving to AZ in 2013, Stephanie became involved as a volunteer in an out-reach programs mentoring youth and children as she focused on her own growing family. She believes that family is a major component of our society and a society can only be as strong as its individual families and members. She is dedicated to being an advocate for our birth mothers, providing emotional support, and implementing processing techniques as our clients navigate the adoption process. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters, running, and cooking.
